This role requires a thorough understanding of the UAE's regulatory framework, risk management, and best practices in anti-money laundering compliance and good understanding ofgenerating and monitoring "Contracts".

Key Responsibilities:

Policy Development and Implementation:

  • Develop and update AML policies and procedures in line with UAE regulations and international best practices.
  • Ensure effective implementation of these policies across the organization.

Risk Assessment and Management:

  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential AML risks in the real estate sector.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks.

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Monitor transactions for signs of money laundering activities.
  • Investigate suspicious activities and prepare reports for submission to relevant authorities.
  • Maintain records of all transactions and reports in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Training and Awareness:

  • Develop and deliver training programs for employees on AML regulations and the importance of compliance.
  • Ensure all staff are aware of their responsibilities regarding AML compliance.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay updated with changes in AML laws and regulations in the UAE.
  • Ensure the company's AML policies are in compliance with the latest regulations.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and respond to their requests and inquiries.

Audit and Review:

  • Conduct regular audits of the AML compliance program to ensure its effectiveness.
  • Review and update AML policies and procedures as necessary.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as legal, finance, and operations, to ensure a comprehensive approach to AML compliance.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies during inspections and reviews.

Contracts:

  • Ability to create and proof-read contracts and apply legal logic to amend the contracts.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Degree or Certification in AML (such as ACAMS) is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in AML compliance, preferably within the real estate sector or financial services.
  • Experience in dealing with KYC, EDD understanding, Sanction Screening Knowledge.
  • Preferably with Banking experience.
  • Experience with Client on-boarding
  • Language: Excellent command of English (Fluency in Arabic will be an added advantage).
