Job Purpose:


Patternmakers are responsible to create templates that are used to mass-produce products Their job is to
translate blueprints and design models into factory patterns using drafting software or freehand measurement techniques.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Meeting with product designers to discuss the base design.
  • Reading and interpreting design models and blueprints.
  • Creating roughdraft templates using computer drafting software and freehand techniques.
  • Measuring, cutting, and designing patterns in the material required.
  • Doublechecking the pattern dimensions and style.
  • Sending the initial pattern for a manufacture check.
  • Meeting with designers to review the final product.
  • Tweaking the pattern and filing the design.
  • Reporting back to company managers.

Competencies:

  • Programming manual, semiautomated or automated tools and machines Knowledge of machines and tools.
  • Operation monitoring.
  • Critical thinking.
  • Complex problem solving.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.

Salary:
From AED1.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Doha: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employerprovided relocation package (required)

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (required)

Experience:

Pattern Making: 2 years (required)
