Upholstery Worker

cJob Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Upholstery Worker to join a furniture company based in Al Ain. As an Upholstery Worker, you will be responsible for refurbishing, repairing, and upholstering various types of furniture items.

Your expertise in upholstery techniques and attention to detail will contribute to the production of high-quality furniture pieces and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect and assess furniture items for refurbishment or repair needs.
• Remove old upholstery, padding, and coverings from furniture items.
• Repair or replace damaged frames, springs, webbing, and other structural components as needed.
• Cut, measure, and shape foam, padding, and fabric materials to fit furniture pieces.
• Upholster furniture items by attaching fabric covers, padding, and trimmings using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Ensure highquality craftsmanship and attention to detail in all upholstery work.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper storage and handling of materials and tools.
• Collaborate with other team members, such as furniture designers and finishers, to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing upholstery tasks.
• Keep uptodate with industry trends, techniques, and materials related to upholstery.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Upholstery Worker or similar role in the furniture industry.
• Strong knowledge of upholstery techniques, tools, and materials.
• Proficient in using upholstery tools, including staple guns, sewing machines, scissors, and foam cutters.
• Ability to read and interpret furniture specifications, blueprints, or design plans.
• Excellent handeye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing highquality work.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to meet project deadlines.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
