Activity:
Mechanical Maintenance

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Perform mechanical maintenance activities to ensure all job tasks are completed promptly and with high quality to achieve operational readiness and operate with the utmost safety and reliability.
  • Carry out planned and corrective mechanical maintenance activities and inspections following relevant procedures and processes on mechanical plant systems, structures, and components to ensure proper functionality.

This includes, among others:
  • The Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS) mechanical equipment, particularly reactor, steam generators, fuel handling facilities, HVAC, heat exchangers, pumps, Emergency Diesel Generator (EDG), Alternating Alternate Current (AAC) Diesel Generator (DG), cranes & hoists, valves, chillers, hangers & supports, etc.
  • The Balance of Plant (BOP) equipment, including pumps, valves, intake, radwaste equipment, chillers, compressors, engines, etc.
  • Properly prepare and stage maintenance work activities timely, including submitting procurement requests for equipment spare parts and special tools to ensure adequate resources for mechanical maintenance activities.
  • Participate in pre- and post-job briefings and supervise maintenance teams performing tasks to ensure compliance with maintenance standards and procedures at Nawah.
  • Record equipment history reports post-maintenance on systems, structures, and components to maintain an accurate historical record.
  • Conduct routine tests and surveillance to verify efficient mechanical system performance or detect any issues.
  • Update the equipment and material master data in the material management system to maintain accurate equipment and material specifications in the plant matching those in the warehouse.
  • Adhere to Maintenance Code of Conduct processes and guidelines to guarantee plant safety and reliability.
  • Perform troubleshooting procedures on mechanical systems and components to ensure proper and timely issue resolution.

Staff Training and Qualification

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Ensure management expectations regarding the Conduct of Maintenance are put into practice and followed.
  • Offer training feedback on program effectiveness by evaluating performance to ensure a superior quality training and qualification program.
