2024 Architecture, Design & Construction Internship - Dubai

We are looking for a high-calibre local undergraduate or recent graduate (graduated with a Construction related Bachelor's or Master's degree in the last 12 months) to join our Middle East & Africa Architecture, Design & Construction (MEA AD&C) team on a 12-month internship.

While reporting to the Senior Director AD&C MEA, you will support the MEA AD&C Team on a range of projects across MEA.

You will have the opportunity to learn on the job and gain a practical understanding of projects within the hospitality industry.

From day one, our interns are fully integrated into Team Hilton and are involved in different aspects of the business.

Our internships offer vast exposure and opportunities, such as the opportunity to network with senior executives, and for some, international travel, and involvement in regional conferences.

Based in our Dubai Area Office, you will also benefit from an open space office, located in Internet City, close to the Dubai Marina and The Palm Jumeirah and other interesting locations in Dubai.

We have approximately 210 team members based in the Dubai office, we are a social and fun bunch of people driving the business for the MEA region from here.


The Opportunity

As the Hilton AD&C intern, your activities will include:

  • Working closely with the Project Directors to support on new development, adaptive re-use, and conversions projects across MEA.
  • Reviewing project documentation drawings, specifications, reports, materials and preparing review summary reports.
  • Providing support to the Project Directors on relevant projects and initiatives.
  • Supporting the Project Directors with site and mockup inspections.
  • Attending project meetings with Project Directors.
  • Preparing pipeline and project specifics reports.
  • Preparing executive presentations for regional meetings, stakeholders, and projects.
  • Joining Regional AD&C meetings as and when required.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an undergraduate student or a recent graduate currently working towards or having recently completed a construction related degree and has a strong desire to progress a career in the hotel industry.

The success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

  • First and foremost, Hilton is a hospitality company, and we are looking for individuals with a strong sense of alignment to our culture and values.
  • You must be an undergraduate or recent graduate with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction or other equivalent in the last 12 months.
  • You must be able to undertake a fulltime (40 hours per week) 12month graduate internship, from July 202
  • Proactive with a strong willingness to learn and takes ownership of tasks.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, coordination and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to prepare and deliver persuasive oral and written reports and presentations.
  • Strong teamworking and problemsolving skills along with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good at planning, keeping records and paying attention to detail.
  • Passionate about driving the rightfirsttime approach to project development.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.
  • Adobe Photoshop, InDesign or CAD Software experience is a plus.
  • Above all, you must have a positive candoattitude, be engaging, resilient and demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
