Your role
We are seeking a Lead Product Manager for our checkout and in-store product lines.

As a Lead Product Manager you should enjoy the challenge of driving complex and user-facing product initiatives from inception through launch and scale-up.


Drawing on your proficiency in building previous customer experiences and preferably in FinTech space, you will be responsible for improving purchase and transaction experiences to create unique experiences only Tamara can provide.


With a proven track record of managing cross-functional teams you will lead the Checkout Squads and ensure the team meets business targets on conversion rate and merchant growth.

You will also lead and collaborate with an internal merchant integration team to bring more merchants onto Tamara platforms efficiently and help them succeed, and ultimately revolutionize the way millions of users shop, pay, and bank.

Your responsibilities

  • Set the overall product vision and strategies for the Checkout product with your thorough understanding of customer needs and in doing so you will provide Tamara customers and merchants with industryleading capabilities and experience
  • Improve and own key functional metrics e.g. customer NPS, conversion rate, and time to checkout
  • Understand customers in depth, meet them regularly, conduct market research and enable team to solve merchants' and customers' pain points effectively
  • Define, prioritize and groom the product backlog, create actionable user stories and epics that are clearly visible for your development and partner teams
  • Be an avid observer of the FinTech industry trends, meet with 3rd party vendors, identify and assess innovative trends in checkout, AI and CRM domains in order to build innovative and winning products in our market
  • Perform A/B tests with our data teams to validate and iterate product increments demonstrating value to our customers and business
  • Hire, build, mentor and retain a highly motivated team of product managers spread across geographies
  • Help define, own and drive towards achieving quarterly, yearly goals of your team and the organization

Your expertise

  • You have 8+ years of core product management experience (min. 3+ years leading product managers) working on checkout related fields or product squads in FinTech, mobility, marketplaces or ecommerce domains
  • You're customer obsessed and have successful experience working in fastpaced consumer focused (B2C or B2B2C) environment
  • Experience having built products at scaled and distributed organizations is a huge positive
  • Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills and ability to interact and influence a diverse groups of technical and nontechnical stakeholders including Clevel executives spread across geographies
  • Experience in building products using Agile methodologies in a hybrid working environment
  • Familiarity with Arabic language and wider GCC region is a plus
