Head Seamstress

Valentin Yudashkin is a haute couture, private bridal and premium RTW fashion house that prides itself on having the highest standards of quality control and corporate governance earning it a full-time membership at the French Federation of Haute Couture and Ready-to-wear.

The chosen applicant is required to have knowledge of client fitting of garments for women, properties of all materials and product divisions, and alterations of complex garments.

Due to the 2030 global expansion strategy implementation the Valentin Yudashkin brand is establishing the new global private client showroom and headquarters in Dubai at the Dubai Fashion District.

• Perform alterations to haute couture, wedding and premium RTW outfits pieces;
• Measure and fit pieces for clients;
• Communicate with clients to advise and explain the alteration / tailoring process;
• Assist customers with fittings;
• Liase with Sales Consultant to schedule client's fitting, delivery, pickup and extra requests;
• Ensure the tailor room is kept clean and well maintained.

• Must have already been
  trained and acquired skills in pinning and alteration, garment sewing and construction;:
• Great team player and ability to work well with people;
• Ability to multitask and manage tight timelines;
• Wellorganized and detailoriented;
• Attention to detail;
• Experience: 5+ years;
• Familiarity with haute couture, wedding and/or premium readytowear (full range of womenswear);
• Experience working directly with clients;
• Ready to work extra hours;
• English: upper level (fashion terms, understanding) is a must.

• Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
