We have an exciting opportunity for you as aChief Engineerto join our enthusiastic team at Crowne Plaza Dubai Marina.

Job Summary: As aChief Engineeryou are primarilyresponsible to ensure Guest Satisfaction, Energy Conservation, Fire Life Safety, Operation and Maintenance of plants and equipment preventive maintenance schedules, engineering maintenance requests and new work orders are performed and correctly recorded.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate must be qualified engineer and must have5 years of progressive work-related experiencein the same rolein a 5* city hotel in Dubai and has strong capabilities inplanning & organizing,detail-oriented and, with ability to work under pressure of deadlines and ever-shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must promote and ensure good inter-departmental relations. Also must be a team player, have strong interpersonal skills, and work well independently as well as part of a team, flexible attitude and ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.

Responsibilities:
  • To ensure each section of the Engineering is managed effectively, and results in maximizing productivity and quality of work.
  • To assist Director Engineering on all aspects of engineering, environmental controls and the operational efficiency of the property.
  • To ensure adherence to all statutory regulations and fire codes by regularly reviewing policies and safety procedures. Ensure that any tests and inspections required on plant by statutory authorities and as per IHG Standards are carried out as and when required and that all records and documentation associated with such tests and surveys are correctly kept and/or displayed. Ensure that the hotel fulfils all compliance requirements.
  • Ensure the effective operation of all the mechanical and electrical systems and equipment by implementing and managing a preventative maintenance program.Closely monitor the condition of the physical property and equipment by conducting continual inspections of the building. Ensure that preventative maintenance schedules are in operation and regularly upgraded.
  • Plans and implements a preventive maintenance program to try and achieve "zero" defects for all equipment in the Hotel
  • Ensure that plant and equipment are correctly operated M & E plant and equipment to suit the needs of the hotel
  • Coordinates and assists management of hotel on internal campaign and activities of energy conservation programme.
  • Coordinates and participates in the environmental and sustainable programme/activities as prescribed by the environmental committee and to provide a monthly work plan to Director of Engineering for approval.
