Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and timely legal advice on various issues related to the UAE legal system.
  • Stay updated on new laws and regulations within the UAE that may affect the university, and effectively communicate relevant updates to concerned departments and suggest necessary amendments.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure legal compliance with UAE Laws in all university operations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including but not limited to all types of employment contracts, memorandum of understanding, commercial agreements, vendors' and clients' contracts, and partnership agreements.
  • Manage legal disputes, if any, and work towards resolution through negotiation or legal action.
  • Draft, and review legal notices, and respond to legal notices.
  • Represent the company in legal proceedings and disputes, upholding the institution's interests and reputation.
  • Participate in internal investigations, ensuring legal procedures and internal procedures are followed.
  • Ensure that the company documents comply with legal requirements.
  • Draft and develop legal compliance policies and procedures and guidelines to ensure adherence to legal standards.
  • Assist in negotiation processes for agreements and contracts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law.
  • At least 3 years' experience working in a legal/lawyer office as a legal consultant within the UAE.
  • Proficient in drafting legal documents.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Indepth knowledge of UAE legal system, and relevant procedures.
  • Indepth knowledge of UAE labour law.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, negotiation, and details oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment
