Responsible for supervising all of the 'Well Operations' activitiesincluding well intervention, stimulation and well testing operations, to becarried out on client's installations, both offshore and on artificialislands. To work and maintain close coordination with the Well OperationsEngineering Team, and interdepartmental stakeholders as well as with Contractor'spersonnel, to ensure the safe and successful implementation and execution ofall well operations programs. The Well Operation supervisor will activelymentor and coach junior employees.

Job SpecificAccountabilities

· Executes and delivers all well operations in a safe and efficient mannerfollowing company HSE policies and ensures that subordinates, includingcontractor personnel are aware of and comply with Company's HSE procedures,rules and regulations by demonstrating HSE leadership to the workforce.

· Supervises and coordinates the activities of service Company's personnelinvolved in the provision of technical services and operations including butnot limited to:

o Slick line, electric line, coiled tubing, stimulation, well clean-up andproduction testing operations including; barrier installation and retrieval,through tubing fishing, production logging and perforating, well integritydiagnostics, zonal isolation, water / gas shut-off, scale removal andinhibition, surface and bottom hole sampling, well head repairs and anyassociated Well operations that may be carried out during the life cycle of awell.

· Ensures that all Well Operation activities are undertaken by:

o Coordinate and lead onsite Risk Assessments related to your area ofresponsibility.

o Thorough review of the procedures developed by the Well Engineer.

o Participation in all planning meetings and provide input to interventionprograms & operations.

o Ensure required resources including personnel, materials and equipment onsite for safe and efficient execution of work scope.

o Ensure that all Service Company's crew understand the tasks at hand andunderstand any risk associated with executing the procedures.

o Maintain a culture of continuous improvement / enhancement byincorporating after action reviews and lessons learned.

· Accurate and timely reporting of well operation activities by monitoringthe execution of related programs and progress review.

· Prepares daily progress reports including operations, materials &costs, personnel and equipment movements.

· Controls and ensures the safe and economic utilization / consumption ofcompany supplied equipment and materials.

· Ensures the safe and timely return of equipment and surplus materials tocompany's stores upon completion of related operations.

· Safeguards any re-useable salvaged equipment from worked over well(Wellhead, trees, etc.), and avail them to the production unit.

· Coordinates with relevant departments for the manufacturing and orprocurement of equipment such as crossovers, adaptors and specialized equipmentto carry out the work.

· Liaises with field production supervisor for well site inspection andhandover activities.

· Validates invoices related to work carried out on company installations.

· Visits next towers / work sites and reports findings to Well Operations Teamleader.

· Provides administrative support, such as accommodation andtransportation, for the personnel and equipment.

HSE Responsibilities:

· Acts as On-Scene Commander during emergency response situations covering,spill, fire, well control and medical cases that may occur at the work site.

· Implements and maintains onsite HSE programs and initiatives.

· Participates in all risk assessments related to the job at hand.

· Reports and investigates near-miss events, incidents/accidents and makesnecessary recommendations for improvement. Discusses near-miss events withservice providers to identify the lessons learned and capture for futureimprovements.

· Ensures that safety critical equipment is maintained by keeping it fullycertified, inspected and operational.

· Carries out planned inspection and self-audits to ensure that allequipment involved in Well Operations activities is properly maintained.

· Conducts group safety meetings for all Well Operations personnel at site.

· Leads all JSA meetings before executing the job.

· Initiates emergency drills and exercises on daily/weekly basis.

· Discusses safety alerts generated at work site and disseminates to theWell Operations team members.

Independence ofOperations and Decision-making Authority:

· Manages planning and implementation of Well Operations activities incoordination with the Well Operations / Engineering, Drilling andconcerned Site teams by ensuring the safetyand efficiency ofthe subject operation.

· Performs duties in accordance with broad direction, Company policies,Senior Management's directives and Company standards.

· Has a high degree of discretion in decision making and relies onprofessional judgment.

· Has the authority to stop operations in the event of unsafe acts orconditions.

· Defines goals and objectives to guide his team in the development ofworking method and procedures.

· Takes initiative to resolve encountered operational problems as well asemergency cases.

Requirements

· Minimum of Engineering Bachelor degree. Preference will be given todegree holders in relevant discipline such as Petroleum or MechanicalEngineering.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

· Minimum of 8 years' experience for 'Engineering' degree holdingcandidates or 15 years for High School Diploma holding candidates in relevantWell operations in supervisory role with an emphasis on land-based andbarge-based operations.

· Knowledge and experience in extended reach intervention applications(ERD).

· Supervisory level well control certification (IWCF Well Intervention orequivalent for example).

· Strong technical, operations organizational and planning ability.

· Previous experience working in a multi-cultural environment.

· Willingness and ability to coach more junior staff whose native languageis not English.

· Self-motivated, with strong communication, interpersonal and team workingskills.

ProfessionalCertifications

· Basic Safety Training

· Offshore Survival certificate (preferred)

· IWCF Well Intervention certification (preferred).

· Membership of Leading Petroleum/Drilling Societies an advantage.
