Director of Information Technology (IT)The Director of Information Technology (IT) is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization's IT infrastructure, systems, and operations.

This role involves developing and implementing IT strategies, managing IT resources, and ensuring that technology solutions align with the organization's goals and objectives.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

IT Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives. Define and prioritize IT initiatives and projects to support business objectives.

IT Infrastructure Management:
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and data centers. Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of IT infrastructure systems.

Systems Development and Integration:
Lead the development and integration of enterprise-wide systems and applications, ensuring alignment with business requirements. Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

IT Operations Management:
Manage day-to-day IT operations, including systems monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response. Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure operational efficiency and security.

Cybersecurity and Risk Management:
Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies and measures to protect the organization's IT assets and data. Monitor and assess IT risks and vulnerabilities, and implement appropriate controls and mitigation strategies.

Vendor and Contract Management:
Manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and contractors. Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure cost-effective and high-quality IT services.

IT Governance and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to IT operations and data management. Establish and maintain IT governance frameworks and processes to support compliance efforts.

Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and develop a high-performing IT team, including hiring, training, and performance management. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the IT department.

IT Infrastructure Availability:
Percentage of time IT infrastructure systems are available and operational

System Downtime:
Average duration and frequency of system downtime incidents

Cybersecurity Incidents:
Number and severity of cybersecurity incidents, including breaches, malware infections, and data leaks.
Feedback from internal stakeholders on IT services and support.

Professional Experience:
Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in IT management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven track record of successful IT strategy development and execution. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (BCS), Information Technology, or a related field. Master's (MCS) degree preferred. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, ITIL, PMP, or others are a plus.
