Education and Experience

  • At least 45 years of pattern making experience in the fashion/ apparel industries preferred in the couture industry
  • Understanding of fashion is a must
  • Fluent in English and have a Degree or Diploma in fashion

Skills

  • Create pattern templates by interpreting drawings produced by a fashion designer
  • Drape, shape and pin fabrics over a dummy
  • Cut out a pattern based on the shaped fabric pieces
  • Have excellent technical knowledge and sewing skill
  • Work with machinists to make up clothing samples based on the pattern
  • Work with designers to make alterations or adjustments to the final pattern
  • A good knowledge of the types and properties of fabrics
  • Can convey instructions to production team clearly in English and supervise the outcome and finish
  • A team player attitude with Good communication skills
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Determine the styles, designs, and materials of garments with designer input
  • Cutting patterns out
  • Determine pattern specifications
  • Providing accurate yield estimates for patterns
  • Attending fit sessions to ensure changes are recorded and executed
  • Managing the production team, ensuring they follow the pattern and execute the design accurately
  • Resolving fit and quality issues
  • Will be required to assist master cutter and tailors when needed

Salary:
From AED3,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Ajman: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

  • Higher diploma (preferred)

Experience:

  • Pattern Maker in
