Risk Analyst

We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Risk Officer to join our team at First Gulf Exchange Center, a leading money exchange house.

The primary responsibility of the Risk Officer will be to conduct comprehensive risk assessments to safeguard the integrity of our operations and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

This role will play a crucial part in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks associated with financial transactions, operational processes, and regulatory requirements.

• Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential risks associated with financial transactions, operational processes, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and implement risk management policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate identified risks effectively.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing risk management strategies and recommend improvements as necessary.
• Collaborate with various departments within the organization to ensure alignment of risk management practices with business objectives.
• Stay updated on regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to money exchange operations and incorporate them into the risk management framework.
• Analyze data and trends to identify emerging risks and proactively address them to prevent potential losses or regulatory issues.
• Prepare and present risk assessment reports to senior management, highlighting key findings, recommendations, and action plans.
• Conduct regular training sessions for staff members to enhance their understanding of risk management principles and promote a culture of risk awareness.
• Act as a liaison with regulatory authorities and external auditors during audits and examinations, providing necessary documentation and information as required.
• Assist in the development and implementation of business continuity and crisis management plans to ensure resilience against unexpected events.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., FRM, PRM, or CFA) is preferred.
• Proven experience in risk management within the financial services industry, preferably in a money exchange or banking environment.
• Indepth knowledge of financial products, money laundering regulations, compliance requirements, and risk assessment methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify key risk indicators.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey riskrelated information to stakeholders at all levels.
• Detailoriented with a high degree of accuracy and integrity in work.
• Proficiency in risk management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
