  • Working closely with colleagues in Sales, Estimating, and Operations to review Tenders / ITB's, preparing contract deviations and managing negotiations for new opportunities (which includes reviewing Engineering, Study and EPC Agreement terms and conditions, pricing/payment schedules, scope of work, project procedures and execution schedules on lump sum contract model) for multi-million-dollar projects.
  • Advising, reviewing, and negotiating related MOU, Pre-bid Agreements, Consortium, Joint Venture, Partnership.
  • Ensuring project contracts are consistent with CB&I's strategy, contracting standards and other CB&I's policies while avoiding onerous liabilities.
  • Working with and understanding governing laws, including facilitating, understanding, and applying specialized legal advice from such jurisdictions.
  • Advising on and review of Bank Guarantees and Parent Company Guarantees.
  • Working closely with the Contracts team on post contract award issues, such as claims, change orders and so on.
  • Providing legal support to the SCM team on supply/services contracts.
  • Assisting with corporate house-keeping matters like setting up, management or close out of offices/entities.
  • Providing legal support to CB&I's operations and offices across the International Group, including real estate agreements, HR matters and non-project procurement.
  • Participating in management review meetings and departmental meetings and initiatives.
  • Participating in non-legal initiatives in areas such as safety, well-being, D&I, and sustainability.
  • LLB or equivalent
  • Called to the bar / qualified lawyer in a relevant jurisdiction (Middle East, other civil or common-law jurisdiction)
  • 8-10 years legal experience with at 4-6 years' experience in the Oil & Gas and/or EPC industry.
