Slaughterhouse Supervisor

Responsibilities:

Supervision:

Direct and supervise all aspects of slaughterhouse operations, including the processing of animals, to ensure efficiency and compliance with regulations.

Team Management:
Lead and manage a team of workers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.

Quality Control:
Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures to ensure the production of high-quality products.

Safety Compliance:
Enforce and promote safety procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing the slaughter and processing of animals, including sanitation and hygiene standards.

Inventory Management:
Oversee inventory levels, track usage, and coordinate with procurement to maintain an adequate supply of raw materials.

Equipment Maintenance:
Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and operational.

Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of production, inventory, and other relevant data for reporting and auditing purposes.

Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and quality.

Communication:
Collaborate with other departments, suppliers, and regulatory agencies, providing clear and concise communication.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant degree or certification is a plus.

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a slaughterhouse or meat processing facility.

Deep knowledge of animal processing, including slaughtering and butchering.

Familiarity with safety and sanitation regulations in the meat processing industry.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
