Assignment Description


The Systems Lead reporting to Commissioning Manager will be an integral part of AIP Project Management Team, working collaboratively within the AIP organization, systems, procedures, and methods.

This role has been identified as a "Key Position" within Rosebank project organization of AIP.


The Commissioning Systems Lead is responsible for monitoring the quality of discipline related documentation on design solution and all engineering activities within EPC towards all disciplines.

The Commissioning Systems Lead shall ensure that all necessary information to execute commissioning and start-up is made available from all Contractor side

Commissioning Systems Lead shall ensure that the completion system (PIMS) has the necessary data available to execute system and sub-system definition, have P&ID ready for system boundary mark-up, and information available to develop a well-functioning PIMS

  • The Commissioning Systems Lead shall also be a part of review all FAT and SATprocedure and vendor commissioning procedures. A close relation with the Engineering, Construction and MC will be required to ensure alignment on plans and progress. Key activities to align will be "The Driving Force" in count down meetings and contribute to ensure Mechanical Completion activities are executed in accordance with clientand Contractor requirements
  • Monitor and coordinate Mechanical Completion and Commissioning activities
  • Ensure that relevant activities within the disciplines are within the company framework and in conformance with contract, Yard Execution Plan, and relevant regulations. The health and safety of personnel, natural and working environment and equipment shall be taken care of.
  • Ensure good cooperation, communication and alignment between the base organization and the project.
  • Work with AIP operations team as well as client to ensure clear guidance and clarifications are provided with regards to scope of work definition.
  • Work with JV Yard organization, client Construction Team and Client to ensure compliance and verification activities required.
  • Participate in review of previous lessons learned and the incorporation of relevant lessons learned into Completion process
  • Followup of interface between all disciplines onboard the FPSO
  • Monitor and followup contractor and Suppliers ITPs
  • Contribute to a seamless handover transition to Commissioning
  • Verify with System Responsible Engineer that systems are ready for Commissioning
  • Coordinate with Contractor to meet Handover dates to Commissioning
  • Assist in planning/execution of commissioning activities in accordance with commissioning plans and procedures
  • Assist and monitor preparations of commissioning queries
  • Contribute to the Management of Change process and to project risk workshop. Identify and follow up relevant risk and mitigating actions
  • Assist in arranging Vendor support for commissioning activities
  • Coordinate execution and organization of all commissioning punch when required.
  • Secure that the project has correct capacity and competence to execute and verify commissioning punch.
  • Assist in the development of the commissioning "punch killing" and clearance schedule.
  • Verify with System Responsible Engineer that systems are ready for RFOC
  • Participate for IDC comments verification and approval within commissioning team
  • Prepare commissioning dossiers and procedures
  • Participate in work pack review sessions as well as work packs preparation
  • Report to Commissioning Manager any delays in progress under his/her area of responsibility.
  • Participate in meetings, inspections and triparty walks
  • Collaborate closely with other key disciplines in the Engineering Team. Call off assistance from discipline resources.
  • Other duties as required by the Commissioning Manager

Qualifications

  • Technical education on Batchelor level or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience within operation, project execution and commissioning
  • Extensive experience with execution of Construction and MC activities both from Contractor and Client organizations as well as strong leadership qualities.
  • Experience as Commissioning Coordinator or similar
  • Experience in FPSO redeployment is strongly desired.
  • Recent experience of working in a similar role on UK North Sea projects will be an advantage.
  • Leadership & interpersonal skills applied to a multidisciplined project team
  • Recent relevant experience in middle east / southeast Asian shipyards is an advantage
