Responsibilities:

  • Support project preparation by assisting in the selection, qualification, and negotiation of EPCs, consultants, and contractors
  • Attend Hand Over meetings to ensure compliance with procedures
  • Assist with tender reading/validation
  • Ensure HSE regulations are implemented by all Project Managers and EPCs
  • Support project kick-off meetings to establish relationships
  • Ensure compliance with tools and standards during construction
  • Facilitate the commissioning process
  • Oversee project management processes at every stage
  • Ensure proper change management when necessary
  • Coordinate project reporting for management
  • Act as the point of contact for HQ regarding construction reporting
  • Participate in the development of tools, procedures, and processes
  • Liaise with HQ technical services
  • Ensure training and competencies of new Project Managers
  • Contribute to common events organized by transverse functions

The position is based in Dubai with activities extending to the Middle East & Africa Region.

Challenges and Environment:

  • Dealing with various regulations and utility bodies across the MEA region
  • Working with different EPCs with varying levels of HSE and technical standards
  • Managing projects in a multicultural environment
  • Handling multiple projects simultaneously at different stages
  • Managing HR aspects during business ramp-up and staffing increase
  • Operating in a competitive market with limited space
  • Building affiliates in regions with low presence
