This vendor management position plays a crucial role within the Cigna Middle East (CIME) business and reports to the Head of Product & Solution Strategy. The primary responsibility is to manage both new and existing strategic vendor partnerships across the Middle East and Africa.

Candidate Profile:

To be considered for this role, you need to be highly motivated, driven to succeed, possess proven vendor management and/ or TPA management skills, and have demonstrated expertise in managing vendors in a matrixed environment. Strong soft skills are a must as the role involves extensive interaction with director level and above stakeholders as well as working with multiple vendors. The ability to travel up to 25% across the Middle East & Africa is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creation of a Governance framework for reviewing and refining strategic vendor delivery objectives and performance against service level agreements
  • Develop processes and workflows to partner with vendor(s) and internal delivery teams to facilitate vendor governance
  • Review, recommend, and enhance vendor operations and performance processes
  • Collaborate with vendors on technical and service roadmaps and advancements
  • Identify strategic opportunities to Senior Management on new or expanding opportunities with vendors
  • Implement new strategic vendor(s) into CiME from end-to-end
  • Acts as the single point of contact for internal stakeholders for vendor delivery issues and disputes
  • Prepare and present vendor compliance status to senior management
  • Establish a governance model for effective supplier delivery management
  • Execute and monitor Corrective Action Plans, if necessary
  • Handle conflict resolution internally and externally
  • Adhere to scope management and change control processes
  • Identify risks, issues, and mitigation plans
  • Create an environment of trust, collaboration, and openness
  • Propose recommendations and adjustments to project delivery
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Science and Technology, Business Administration, or related field required
  • 3+ years of vendor management experience
  • Knowledge of health care and/or insurance industry preferred
  • Experience in managing supplier relationships globally
  • Demonstrated success in delivering complex projects
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to navigate highly matrixed organizations effectively
  • Proven ability to present and communicate effectively
  • Ability to quickly earn trust, mobilize teams, and resolve conflicts
  • Cultural competency, organizational and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
