We are currently seeking an ambitious person to be part of HSBC Global Banking within the Dubai Coverage Team to support key functions in terms of overall relationship support/management, client servicing and operational support and Credit support.

In this role, you will:

• Provide general support to the Global Relationship Banker and Senior Coverage Banker in servicing client relationships and enhancing income generation.
• Act as primary point of contact for small clients and internal colleagues, and take lead role in dealing with client service teams and request for information.
• Prepare/assist in complex financial modeling, and scenario analysis.
• Perform sector, industry and company research as directed.
• Prepare/update internal and external presentations.
• Support in audit and reporting requirements, as and when required.
• Assist in the client planning exercise, profitability calculation and DPC sheet preparation.
• Prepare Credit Notes, as well as assisting in preparation of Credit Proposals and reviews.
• Prepare HORIS report analysis, audit and reconciliation, including looking into our monthly HORIS reports to check for any discrepancies, circulating when needed, as well using it to update our client plans.
• Collaborate with others across Global Banking to assist in achieving the overall goal of Global Banking and specifically the Coverage Model.
• Uphold the highest level of integrity and act as a role model for all HSBC values and business principles.
• Implement the Group Compliance policy locally by managing compliance risk in liaison with the Head of Group Compliance and other key stakeholders.
• Maintain HSBC Internal Control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
• Be aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with your role and act in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations.
• Demonstrate a commitment to excellence and perform to the highest standards.
• Take an active role in initiatives outside of own role; proactively seeking different assignments to accelerate learning.

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Well experienced in Global or Corporate Banking
• A generalist with a strong Corporate Finance background
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Proven ability in dealing with clients.
• Basic knowledge of financial modelling, and scenario analysis
• Adequate understanding of the financial markets
• Basic knowledge of the bank operational processes and systems
• Strong academic credentials
• Graduation degree is a must to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit
