Role Purpose:


The Paralegal provides core legal support to the Legal Department including research, documentation, drafting, and the administrative management and maintenance of legal documents.


Role Details - Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Legal Due Diligence

  • Assist the team by preparing draft contracts, agreements and notices as required in a timely manner and ensuring that they are compliant with internal standards and legal requirements
  • Review and proofread contracts and other legal documents for terms and conditions that may be areas of concern, clarity of content and grammar, and highlights the same for subsequent review and action
  • Liaises with relevant stakeholders across the company to highlight discrepancies in contractual and legal documentation of contracting parties

Legal_ _
Research

  • Conduct legal research and keep abreast with all regulatory and local law related updates / changes which might impact the legal terms and conditions for contracts and highlights them within the Department
  • Study constitution, statutes, decisions, regulations, and ordinances of government bodies to determine ramifications for legal issues related to the company

Legal Policies and Procedures

  • Ensure internal legal process is followed and tasks are completed within the deadlines
  • Report any actions that might interfere with the operations of the company

Archiving and Document Management

  • Archive various legal approvals and transaction details in a manner that enables ease of reference for subsequent use

Human Capital Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and seek professional development opportunities to improve leadership and technical skills pertaining to the direct line of work

Qualification, Experience & Skills:

Minimum Qualifications/education

  • Law University Graduate

Minimum experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience. Prior experience as paralegal in a legal firm or a service oriented organization, preferably in UAE
