Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting transactions
- Prepare budget forecasts
- Publish financial statements in time
- Handle monthly and annual closings
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Ensure prompt bank payments
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
- Report on the company's financial health and liquidity
- Audit financial transactions and documents
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
- Comply with financial policies and regulations
- Checking documentation relating to imported/exported goods as well as being the link with our forwarder regarding all the paperwork needed.
- Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
- Maintain employee records (attendance, leaves, etc.) according to policy and legal requirements.
- Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance.
- Submit contracts and VISA paperwork to the Authorities.
Skills & Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience, out of which 3 years UAE experience as an accountant.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures.
- Handson experience with accounting software (Axapta ERP or SAP).
- Advanced MS Excel skills including pivot tables.
- Experience with general ledger functions.
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
- Bachelors/Master's degree in Accounting, Finance.
- Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus.
- Understanding of labour laws and disciplinary procedures
- Strong ethics and reliability.
- Problemsolving aptitude.
- Excellent English communication.
