Job Role:

  • Selecting, developing, ordering, cataloging of Library resources and liaising with School Librarians.
  • Keeping up to date with new releases to be able to recommend books to school Librarians.
  • Develop rapport and good working relationship with Publishers and school Librarians.
  • Assisting with author visits, book fairs, other events for school Librarians to promote the use of the library and reading culture.

Skills Required:

  • Good level of knowledge of textbooks (UK, US, IB curriculum) and well informed on learning resources.
  • Good level of knowledge of current library information technologies like MARC, Dewey Decimal system.
  • Outstanding organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent IT skills, proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of library database.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Similar or equivalent qualifications.
  • Bachelor's degree in library and information Science is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1year experience in a similar position, ideally in an educational setting.
