Yourfuture role

The Dubai APM Operation& Maintenance Technician will be responsible for inspectingtesting troubleshooting repairing and maintaining the completeSystem related to Wayside and Vehicles maintenanceofway equipmentand maintaining all equipment related to the system. Theseindividuals will be capable operating the system from OCC andrecovery/restorative actions on the mainline or in the yard. TheEmployee is also responsible for the daytoday support of customerservice through effective communications maintenance of balancedheadways buildup and reduction of trains for revenue service;effective utilization of emergency and failure managementstrategies; support of maintenance through efficient implementationof the Site Rules and Operating & Maintenance Proceduresand clearances; and any other support which affects or could affectcustomerservice.

Welllook to you for:

• Performcorrective and preventive maintenance inspections repairs andadjustments to all systems subsystems and components of anelectronic mechanical electromechanical hydraulic and pneumaticnature.
• Troubleshoot complex systems andcomponents to identify problems orfailures.
• Use various electronic test equipmentto diagnose/isolate faults.
• Install/repaircomplex wiring assemblies includingmodifications.
• Assist in the Development ofprocedures or improvements on periodic inspection repairsmaintenance and schedules to reduce outofservicetime.
• Assist in the development of drawingsspecs schematics or other written or verbal instructions for use bylower classified personnel and assist in the development oftraining courses.
• Assist in the development ofvehicle maintenance schedules andpriorities.
• Know and utilize safe workprocedures and assure that others working in the area are alsoworking in a safe manner.
• Report allpotentially unsafe procedures or conditions. Lead development ofsafe work area and procedures for new worktasks.
• Ability to use the Site InformationManagement System
• Central Control (controlcenter operations dispatch terminal communication interface panelsand process control systems).
• System andvehicle recovery (electronic Electromechanical hydraulic pneumaticsystems)
• Wayside (train control traction powercommunication and related system).
• Throughinteraction with the ATC system manages the assembly of railvehicle consists and ensures that the scheduled trains arecorrectly configured and available for movement into customerservice
• Through interaction with ATC ATP andcommunication systems implements and/or coordinates contingencyplans to include the necessary strategies as defined by thesupervisor during service disruptions and emergencies to minimizedelays and inconvenience to thecustomer.
• Responsible for the powerconfiguration through interaction with the PDS system for normalservice or maintenance and emergencyactivities.
• Works within defined policies andprocedures regarding both normal and emergencyoperations.
• Through interaction with thecommunications and CCTV systems monitors platforms stationsintrusion alarms customer activity and any other system whichaffects customer service.
• Works variable hoursand shifts as needed for coverage.
• Proficientwith the function recovery and reboot procedures of all CentralControl Equipment.
• Ability to use SiteInformation Management System
• Lead lowerclassified personnel from a technical standpoint and function in alead capacity asnecessary.

• High schooldiploma or equivalent; Preferably an associate degree (A.S.) in arelated mechanical or technical discipline and/or VocationalTraining/Certification in a relateddiscipline.
• Previous work experience may berecognized in lieu of formal technicaleducation.
• General knowledge in all electronicmechanical electro/mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic systemssubsystems and components related to transitsystems.
• Knowledge of vehicle and waysidesystems and subsystems will bepreferred.
• Knowledge of procedures and scheduleinitiation will be preferred.
• Ability to leadassociates of a lower classification and lead trainingsessions.
• Ability to produce quality results ina pressure environment.
• Ability to use variouscomputer applications for reports shift communications inventorycontrol etc.
• Ability to read and interpretelectronic schematics mechanical drawings and all standardelectro/mechanical symbols.
• Generalcommunication skills (oral and written) to be utilized in thepreparation of reports and taskassignments.
