Weare looking for a skilled Accounting Clerk to perform a variety ofaccounting bookkeeping and financial tasks.
Accounting Clerk responsibilities include keepingfinancial records updated preparing reports and reconciling bankstatements. You will also run accounting software programs (e.g.SAP) to process business transactions like accounts payable andreceivable disbursements expense vouchers and receipts. Asuccessful accounting assistant should be familiar with allaccounting procedures and have a flair for numbers.
Ultimately a successful Accounting Clerk will ensure thatthe company’s daily accounting functions run accuratelyand effectively.
Responsibilities- Provide accounting and clerical support to theaccounting department
- Type accurately prepareand maintain accounting documents and records
- Prepare bank deposits general ledger postings andstatements
- Reconcile accounts in a timelymanner
- Daily enter key data of financialtransactions in the database
- Provideassistance and support to company personnel
- Research track and restore accounting or documentationproblems and discrepancies
- Inform managementand compile reports/summaries on activity areas
- Function in accordance with established standardsprocedures and applicable laws
- Constantlyupdate job knowledge
- Provenaccounting experience preferably as an Accounts Receivable Clerk orAccounts Payable Clerk
- Familiarity withbookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
- Competency in MS Office databases and accountingsoftware
- Handson experience with spreadsheetsand financial reports
- Accuracy and attentionto detail
- Aptitude for numbers
- Ability to perform filing and recordkeepingtasks
- Data entry and word processingskills
- Well organized
- High school degree
- Associate’s degree or relevant certification isa plus
