Summary:

Generates work orders for Engineering planned and unplanned maintenance tasks based on notifications from operations and based on the pre-determined PM schedule generated in CMMS. Produces and circulates the daily Planned Maintenance schedule for company vehicles/machineries based on the maintenance strategy in CMMS and daily discussions with Terminal based stakeholders. Works alongside the Engineering Superintendent to ensure all planned and unplanned works are coordinated to ensure the uptime of all machinery is achieved and KPI's are met.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordination of all maintenance work performed within the company's business unit in conjunction with the company's Engineering teams.
  • Identifies problems and maintenance needs allowing the repair work to be well planned; materials, resources, and supplies obtained in advance, and the work scheduled when it is most convenient and cost-effective for the business.
  • Plans for the preparation of maintenance jobs and resources so they can be performed in an efficient and effective manner during execution.
  • Generates technical reports related to all company's assets.
  • Attends periodic meetings with Operation, Engineering, and QHSE departments to ensure effective maintenance plans are produced tailored around business requirements.
  • Monitor, report, and advise tyre usage within the company's Business Units.
  • Provide KPI reports on cost per KM, and identify potential maintenance-related cost savings within the business.
  • Identify, report, and investigate damage to equipment, including tyres.
  • Responsible for ensuring the Health & Safety of employees.
  • Responsible for ensuring that activities are performed with minimum impact in their working environment and surroundings.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Educational Background:

Diploma in any mechanical related subject.

Technical Qualification / Certification:

ERP Systems. OEM parts manuals and diagnostic equipment. Fleet maintenance management principles.

Related Work Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 Years relevant experience.
  • CMMS Knowledge.
  • Very Good Knowledge of equipment maintenance.
