OBJECTIVES:

TheR&D Digital Health Sciences group within the Data SciencesInstitute (DSI) supports the development, adoption, and deploymentof Digital Health Tools (DHTs) within our clinical programs. We areprogressive thinkers who leverage digital platforms, digitalmeasurement technologies, and pioneering research to help deliverlife-changing medicines to patients. Together with our colleaguesacross R&D and Commercial we take on fundamental challengessuch as enabling global decentralized trials, development of novelendpoints, the discovery of new digital biomarkers, and the designof digital companions, culminating in a reduction ofpatients’ burden and improvement of their quality oflife.

As a key member of the group at thisexciting and transformative time you will:

  • Own enhancements to asset strategy bysupporting Global Project Teams (GPTs) with design and execution ofhighest value Digital Health Products (DHPs), consideringoperational and commercial aspects as well as the longer strategicvision of the GPT programs.
  • Lead the end-to-endactivities of select DHP development lifecycles, from inception toa Minimum Viable Product (MVP) withinR&D.
  • Establish DHP requirements andwork with all relevant technology and development teams to ensurethe right technology and platforms are beingused.
  • Ensure continuous and timely alignmentbetween DHP development and GPT strategy and bring relevantstakeholders together.
  • Coordinate, align, andensure compliance, user- experience, scalability, quality, andguide the teams towards a converged and alignedsolution
  • Drive portfolio of DHPs andcapabilities by continuously collaborating with peers withinDigital Health Sciences and other DSI stakeholders as well internaland external partners (e.g. clinical operations, procurement,commercial, technology partners)
  • Navigate thelandscape of data privacy, specifically focused on regional /geographic considerations

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Enhance asset value by owning anddriving digital strategy and earlyexecution/delivery
  • End to end lead of theproduct development life cycle from the idea to the market ensuringa successful launch, usability, andcompatibility.
  • The product manager will managethe quality, budget, on-time delivery to milestones, and complianceof the technology to the established regulations andguidelines.
  • Defines product requirements, leadsthe development activities to launch and implements post-marketsupport capabilities towards marketexpansion.
  • Works with the Global Program Leader(GPL) and the Commercial teams to establish and align on thestrategy, scope, value proposition, objectives, timelines, andsuccess criteria for the digital healthproduct.
  • Accountable to the GPL for thedelivery of the digital health product and represents the DigitalHealth Product team in the GPT.
  • Ownership ofthe product roadmap, technical specifications, and releaseplan.
  • Orchestration and delivery of the digitalhealth product through matrixed cross-functional deliveryteams.
  • Ensures alignment between the digitalproduct and the clinical program.
  • Leads amatrixed support team to cover all aspects of the digital healthproduct (Quality, Legal, Regulatory, Privacy, IP,etc.).
  • Works closely with commercial to collectall required inputs, market considerations, and ensure productcompatibility to the market andpatients.
  • Develops metrics and measurements onhow to track the product goals in the market and manage the futurereleases and change control process.
  • Maintainand report on DHP metrics against GPT needs and successcriteria.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURALCOMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in arelevant field (e.g. electrical engineering, computer science,biomedical engineering, data science), or equivalent workexperience.
  • 12+ years of relevant experience,10+ years in product management, and 5+ years in software orhardware development
  • Health care businessacumen, ideally from a role in Business Development, Search andEvaluation, etc.. with a basic understanding of the pharmaceuticalindustry.
  • Proven track record of deliveringprograms with complex businessneeds.
  • Self-directed with eternal curiosity anddesire to learn.
  • Proven experience in learningfrom failure.
