ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The Support Technicianwill:

  • Participate and contribute tolargescale projects with occasional supervisory responsibilities asrequired;
  • Conducting the setup and maintenanceof the Company networking infrastructure including but not limitedto networks wifi access points firewalls/antivirus office equipmentMicrosoft servers UPSs and switches;
  • Carry outroutine networking and routing asrequired;
  • Carry out cabling for IT andtelephone systems jobs;
  • Liaise with externalsuppliers on maintenance managing issues through toresolution;
  • Provide proactive firstline supportfor staff with timely assistance for all support enquiries;
  • Support the IT Senior Technician &Manager in disaster recovery or system downsituations;
  • Conduct the backup schedule andrestore any data as required;
  • Set up new usersand process leavers in accordance with agreed ITprocedures;
  • Carry out other reasonableworkrelated requests as directed by the LineManager.

REQUIREDSKILLS EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Previous IT experience in an IT servicedelivery team or MSP required.
  • Relevant ITqualifications such as CompTIA A or equivalent and Microsoftcertifications are essential.
  • Vendor certifications in M365 EntraIDWatchGuard Veeam StorageCraft and Mimecast would be an advantage.
  • Team Working andCommunication
    • Exceptionalinterpersonal skills with experience in interaction at all levelsincluding clients senior management.
    • Strongcommunication skills to effectively work within teams and conductproject work
