TimeOut Dubai is looking for a brilliant creative and dynamic Editorwith multiplatform experience to oversee the creation of itscontent across digital and print platforms. You must have ademonstrable passion for editorial innovation strong understandingof digital best practice a keen eye for witty creative covers andexperience managing and motivating a team in a fastpacedenvironment. This role is based in ITP Media Group s Media Cityoffice inDubai.

RequirementsKeyresponsibilities
  • Responsiblefor the overall production execution and management of Time OutDubai across digital print video and social products and platformsand dedicated airport monthly Time OutDXB.
  • Manageand motivate an editorial team work with other Editors within theGroup to make sure goals and projects are aligned and maintain astrong working relationship with the commercialteam.
  • DriveTime Out Dubai to achieve audience growth targets on digital andsocialplatforms.
  • Setcontent strategy and plan editorial calendar across digital printvideo audio andsocial.
  • Editproof and publish Time Out Dubai s daily digital content ensuringstories are on brand on time and contribute to daily content quotasand audiencetargets.
  • Managethe team to ensure Time Out is the first to break news ofhappenings within the brand s remit quickly identifying subjectstopics and events that will make compelling content pieces andmaking sure they re executed in line with our overall brandstrategy.
  • Leadthe ideation and development of creative front covers across TimeOut Dubai s stable of weekly monthly and seasonal printproducts.
  • Overseeand lead Time Out Dubai s annual Awards processes and seasonalcalendar ofevents.
  • Workwith the Head of Content to ensure ALL content reflects overallcontent / editorialstrategy.
  • Determinewhat medium is best suited for a particular content piece andcommission internal and/or external writers producers designersphotographers videographers illustrators product managers etc. tomake it live on deadline and onbudget.
  • EnsureTime Out GCC s editorial standards are met all relevant copyrightshave been cleared content is optimised for SEO and content meetslocal and legalguidelines.
  • Supportthe Editorial Director and sales team by being an ambassador forTime Out Dubai and Time Out DXB supporting and helping to developrevenuegenerating content strategies and establishing goodrelationshipsPRs.
  • Haveyour finger on the pulse of the local scene; use your professionalcontacts and socialmedia networks to be the first to identify thenext bigthing.
  • Undertakereviews and attend events outside of officehours.
  • EmbraceTime Out GCC s digitalfirst philosophy. A strong background indigital publishing isessential.

Key Responsibilities: Lead, manage, and inspire a team of writers,reporters, and contributors to produce high-quality content fordigital and print platforms. Develop and execute an effectivecontent strategy that aligns with the brand's objectives andresonates with our target audience. Plan, assign, write, and editarticles, features, and daily online news stories, ensuringaccuracy, consistency, and adherence to the brand's editorialstandards. Stay updated on industry trends, news, and developmentsto ensure the brand's content remains timely and relevant.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, includingindustry experts and partners, to enhance content quality andcoverage. Ensure the timely publication of content across variousplatforms, including the brand's website, social media channels,and print publications. Monitor and analyse content performancemetrics to make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering aculture of creativity, innovation, and professional growth.Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Journalism, Communications,English, or a related field. A minimum of five years of editorialexperience, prior experience in B2B publishing is preferred.Required Skills: Exceptional English written and verbalcommunication skills. Strong editorial skills including editing,proofreading, and fact checking. Creative thinker with a keen eyefor design and visual aesthetics. Excellent organisational andproject management skills. Proficient in using editorial softwareand tools. Strong knowledge of digital publishing platforms,content management systems, and SEO best practices. Paywallexperience.
