Investment Specialist

About the position:We are looking for a specialist to contribute to the planning and implementation of initiatives across the countries covered by ApexBrasil’s Middle East and North Africa Office, focusing on attracting foreign investment to Brazil and supporting the internationalization of Brazilian companies in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research and market intelligence to assess the investment environment across the countries covered by the ApexBrasil Dubai Office, identify potential investors, and map priority sectors and investment opportunities in Brazil.
• Analyze prospective investors, including their decision-making processes, growth strategies, investment criteria, and business development priorities, while building in-depth knowledge of Brazilian sectors with the greatest potential to attract investment from the region.
• Develop general and sector-specific value propositions for investing in Brazil, aligned with ApexBrasil’s priority sectors, and present investment opportunities, sector intelligence, and tailored proposals to prospective investors through meetings, presentations, and other engagement activities.
• Identify, engage, select, and prepare Brazilian companies seeking investment from countries covered by the Dubai Office, assessing their needs and interests and providing relevant information on business opportunities, market conditions, and technical matters that support their expansion in the region.
• Plan and organize investment promotion events, business meetings, investor engagement programs, and roadshows across the region, as well as tailored agendas for visits by prospective investors to Brazil.
• Support international investors throughout their business development journey by facilitating engagement with government authorities, private-sector organizations, Brazilian companies, and other relevant stakeholders, helping them assess project feasibility, navigate decision-making processes, and implement their investments in Brazil.
• Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing investors, the local innovation and investment ecosystem, relevant government entities, private-sector organizations, and Brazilian diplomatic representations, while monitoring contacts, projects, investor participation, and the results of investment promotion initiatives.
• Work closely with ApexBrasil’s headquarters and other international offices, following institutional guidelines and adapting projects to the regional context; share knowledge on local markets, regulations, business culture, stakeholder relationships, and potential projects; and represent ApexBrasil at meetings, conferences, events, presentations, and investment-related initiatives throughout the region.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Economics, International Trade, International Relations. A postgraduate qualification, whether a specialization, master’s degree, or doctorate, is desirable.
• At least three years of professional experience in areas such as international business, investment attraction, foreign trade, international relations, business management, or client and investor relations.
• Advanced knowledge of foreign direct investment and business internationalization.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English, both written and spoken.
• Availability for frequent domestic and international travel.
• Resident in UAE.
