  • Performs on and off aircraftelectrical modification to electrical wiring and systemcomponents
  • Perform complex connectorterminations including shielded wires, coaxial cables and fiberoptic wiring.
  • Understand wire handling androuting instructions.
  • Perform sealing,wrapping, bonding, tying, and closure of wire harnesses and cablesin accordance with standardprocesses.
  • Demonstrate technical ability toread and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, processspecifications, and retrofit requirements to perform electricalmodification/repair.
  • Adhere to government andcompany procedural guidance, perform assembly, installation, visualinspection of physical characteristics, modification of wirebundles & electrical assemblies, operational and qualitychecks of aircraft work.
  • Troubleshootmalfunctions in aircraft electrical and environmental systems ofmoderate difficulty at the organizational or depot maintenancelevel.
  • Performs aircraft bench and/or flightline operational testing and troubleshooting in accordance withDOD, manufacturer, company, supplier and otherdirectives.
  • Performs assembly, installation,check-out physical characteristics, operational testing andmodification of wire bundles in the testing, development andmodification of aircraft in accordance with DOD, manufacturer,company, supplier and otherdirectives.
  • Responsible for the properperformance of assignments and the prudent handling of product,tools and equipment.
  • Required to consult withmanagement and peers to assess best workprocess.
  • Will assist and train less senioremployees.
  • May be required to lead teamsthrough more complex aircraft relevanttasks.
  • Able to prioritize workload to maintainschedules on assigned projects.
  • Perform allduties of lower Electrics classifications as required tosuccessfully accomplish assignments.
  • Interpretstandard work instructions, charts, tables, blueprints, wirediagrams, formulas, sketches, verbal and electronic orders, joblayouts, etc. to accomplish assignedwork.
  • Ensure that all equipment is used inaccordance with established safety and operatingprocedures.
  • Diagnose and correct malfunctionsoccurring in assembly processes.
  • Use any andall precision measuring instruments, gauges, tools, etc., necessaryto check dimensions and conformance to qualityrequirements.
  • Maintain necessarycertifications, licenses and permits as required for assignedwork.
  • Able to ascend and descend vertical workladders, work in confined spaces, and lift loads of approximately35 pounds.
  • Able to work various shifts and/oran alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change tosupport mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays.Mission requirements and/or workload may require both scheduled andunscheduled overtime
  • Must be familiar withHazardous Energy and Lock Out /Tag systems applications to ensureworking environment is deemed safe for access and on the jobperformance.
  • Will be required to assist otherteam members (General Mechanics, Structures, Avionics) in order toensure cost/schedule targets are met.

This position isexpected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be requiredto work onsite at San Antonio. Candidate maybe be required totravel up to25%.

Thisposition requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret SecurityClearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearancethat has been active in the past 24 months is consideredactive).

Aninterim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start isrequired.

Thisposition requires ability to obtain program access, for which theU.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenshiponly.

Thisposition requires the ability to pass assessment during thetrainingcycle.

Thisposition requires adherence to the SA Tool and FODprocedures.

BASICQUALIFICATIONS (REQUIREDSKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Position requires 4+ years ofexperience in those duties as previously described for satisfactoryperformance.
  • Knowledgeable inelectrical/electronic theories and systems sufficient to performassigned duties.
  • Ability to work rotatingshift

PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS (DESIREDSKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Experience with DepotLevel/Modification maintenance.
  • Operate aforklift, mobile crane, and riding type electric powered elevatingequipment to accomplish workassignment.
