Job Purpose: Responsible forcarrying out maintenance/ calibration tasks on Emirates and thirdparty aircraft components/ tools and equipment in accordance withcompany procedures and regulations. The job holder works as part ofa team under the direction and guidance of the assigned supervisor/Engineer within the appropriate trade/cross trade disciplines forwhich they have been trained.

Job Outline:

  • Carry out routine component/ toolsservicing and calibration/ maintenance /modification and orapproved structural repairs compliant to manufacturers procedureswhilst observing all safety procedures.

  • Complete anycomponent / tools maintenance and other tasks as assigned byimmediate Supervisor/ Engineers. This will include the ability toobtain and understand Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM) IllustratedParts catalogue (IPC) Component Maintenance Manual (CMM) standardPractice Manual (SPM) Quality Manual ISO/IEC 17025 or otherapproved documentation required to carry out the task.

  • Assistsupervisor/ Engineers in trouble shooting defect rectifications andcarrying out modifications while performing instructions containedin the job card.

  • Ensure all worklocations are kept clean and maintain excellent housekeeping.Participate and promote in creating a safety culture in an effortto minimise accidents and highlight any deficiencies/failures thatcan lead to such accidents. This includes being aware andcommunicating safety shortfalls. Maintain vigilance in ensuringwork areas (including the ramp) vehicles stands lockers are free ofFOD and that toolboxes are regularly audited maintained and keptclean.

  • Ensureprompt attendance to all allocated tasks with the intent to reduceTAT and avoid operational delays/disruptions. Should be able tocommunicate any aircraft/ component/ structural defects found tothe supervisor/ Engineer in an expedient manner and ensure duringshift handovers all required information is clearly passed to thestaff taking over.

  • Enable toperform testing verifications services to monitor assist andsupport all Overhaul/Repair/Refurbishment/Inspection &Calibration tasks required as per special procedures and manualsused in respectiveworkshop.

Qualifications& Experience: Qualifications:

  • Apprenticeship in AircraftMaintenance or equivalent training with a reputable airline or anapproved aircraft maintenance organisation or Engineering AircraftMaintenance License (with 7 years experience).

Experience:

  • Engineering or Other : 5Years.
  • 5 Years of postqualification experiencein aviation field out of which minimum 2 years should be inworkshop environment e.g. W&B Avionics Cabin Structures orCalibration Ground Support Equipment.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Workshop Specific Must haveminimum of 4 calibration / servicing authorizations.
  • Must be able to perform calibrations &operate equipment within his/her authorization.
  • To sign test verification &calibration reports as a role of performer within his/herauthorization.
  • To be able to Performintermediate checks and preventive maintenance of equipment.
  • Maintain records of environmental monitoringPerform Quality related activities as guided by Technical Manager(TM) or labIncharge.
