The senior project Planner is responsibleoverall for the Project and the Project results. He/She manages aproject relevant to Telecomunication Systems assuring theachievement of all project objective within the defined scheduleand budget and with the expected quality and safety levels. He/Sheleads and manages the execution and the implementation of theproject visvis with the Customers and in strict coordination withthe other PMs of the project and the CompanyFunctions

ROLES &RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Programme/Planning/Project/ Construction Management.
  • Develop contract baseline Programme using all relatedcontract documents WBS Cost & resources loading and anyother relevant information to systematize projects data to ensureproject competence.
  • Managing and facilitatingthe portfolio management process (Projects Requests &Resource Capacity plan)
  • Feasibility Strategicplanning for establishing milestones through pre and postconstruction phases (Procurement Design &Tender).
  • Prepare resource plans usingproductivity rate.
  • Prepare OperationalSchedules to monitor project progress according to siteconditions.
  • Preparation and monitoring on theproduction of the monthly/weekly/daily planning reports &KPIs
  • Reporting to PMO Manager on projectprogress and the critical issues with planning recommendation tomitigate any expected delays.
  • Prepare delayanalysis with Commercial department for EOT
  • Follow up with Commercial department all delays andprepare letters to reserve our rights for claims
  • Follow up the whole project with client and Consultant toavoid any delays during project period
  • Responsible for the quality and approval of all internal/ external project controls procedures project schedules costreports and daily/weekly/monthly reports.
  • Prepares the Project Controls plan and supervises thedevelopment of all project controls procedures.
  • Prepare monthly planning progressreport for the client

WORK EXPERIENCE &REQUIREMENTS PREFERREDSKILLS

  • University Degree in Engineering(Electronic Telecommunication or Computer).
  • Atleast 5 years experience in project management and at least 5 yearsin Communication and Control Systems projects preferably gained ina foreign country.
  • 58 Years planning softwareexperience such as Primavera 6 MS Project Excel & powerBi
  • Good technical background of the followingsystems in the Metro or Railway environment: Communications andControl Security Passenger informationcomfort.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory Arabicis a plus.
  • Willing to be relocated in theMiddle East for a medium/long term period (> 3 years) and tobusiness missions worldwide.
  • Team worker withstrong leadership skills able to manage teams and resources that donot necessarily report to him/her in thehierarchy.
  • Problem solver with a proactiveattitude business oriented with strong motivation to work towardstargets.
  • Proven experience in managingcustomers stakeholders and complex projects in difficult contextswith challenging targets within a multicultural and internationalenvironment facing multidisciplinary technicalareas

HSERESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take care of yourown safety and the safety of others as far aspracticable.
  • To be aware of and play an activerole in the achievement of Thales HSE policy &objectives.
  • Comply with local HSE laws andlegislation.
  • To use safety equipment (includingPPE) as required and intended.
  • Lead by exampleand actively encourage departments to look at ways to conservewater & energy minimize the generation of waste andencourage recycling.
  • Every one within Thaleshas the right to stop work if they believe that their activitiesmay affect their health and safety or that of others. In thiscircumstance such conditions must be reported immediately to theirline manager and the HSEdepartment.
