  • Timely sourcing (where applicable),purchasing and borrowing of assigned group of items, including BFEand Retrofit/Mod items and breakdown spares of in-house repairableitems in line with the Procurement policy, EK EngineeringProcedures and Authority Manual.
  • Supportobjectives of supply chain management on weekly, monthly and annualbasis to measure and control Overdue Orders, Backlogs, VendorPerformance and other agreed strategic Key Performance Indicators(KPI). Highlight critical service delivery failures and implementcorrective actions to maintain performance, productivity anddelivery at the agreed level.
  • Independentlyperform Price & Lead Time review in collaboration withContracts Management Unit (CMU) to identify and challenge vendorson any variance not in line with the relevant contract (like:Boeing PSAA, Airbus SSC, EK agreements, etc.) and address suchchanges and any other issues withvendors.
  • Perform timely clearance of Invoiceand Stores Discrepancies through efficient coordination withinternal stakeholder / Vendors to avoid backlogs, quarantine stockbuild up and credit holds. In case of any backlog build up, providevisibility to management and take corrective action onpriority.
  • Analyse supply chain data related toEngineering across all markets and generate reports withrecommendation to management for implementation of new systems andprocesses to control supply chain KPIs and ensure a cost-efficientoperation. Participate in selection, acceptance, testing, trainingand implementation of purchasing system enhancement or relatedsoftware to ensure the new system / software has the desiredfunctions and features, it is implemented smoothly and utilised tomaximum capability.
  • Independently prepare andexecute where applicable Request for Quotations (RFQ), shortlist,analyse, and negotiate for the best quote and terms of business(price, availability/lead time, quality, INCOTERM and paymentterms), and authorise release purchase orders for values up toassigned financial limit. For values above financial limit, obtainfinancial approval from competentauthority.
  • Prepare and execute EK Engineeringrelated Service Order post receipt of approved RFS (Request forService) and valid Vendor quotation/contract from requestingstakeholder. Inform Group Accounts Payable (GAPS) to proceed withthe invoice payment once requesting stakeholder confirms successfulcompletion of required service byVendor.
  • Evaluate BFE list from EngineeringProjects (EP) for new aircraft delivery, Major Retrofits andvalidate contractual pricing against approved budget. In the eventwhere BFE value exceeds approved budget, highlight to EP to obtainsupplemental budget approval prior to order placement. Follow-up onBFE orders until delivery based on On-Dock Date (ODD) and invoiceclearance.
  • Establish effective relationshipwith internal stakeholders and vendors and be the focal to ensureon time delivery of required materials, ensure cost optimisationopportunities are enforced where possible and maintain a positiveand responsive approach towards problem resolution to enhanceproductivity and quality of service.

Qualifications&Experience

Engineering.Planning: 5+ Years

Degree or Honours (12+3 orequivalent):

Knowledge/skills

12yrs schooling may be considered with 7 additional years of relevantexperience

  • Industryexperience in Supply Chain is preferable (Warehouse and Logistics,Repair management, Material Planning/Support & InventoryControl, Technical Purchasing).
  • Aircraftmaintenance spares purchasing experience is preferable. Airlines orMRO (Maintenance Repair Organization) work experience will also beconsidered.
  • Thorough knowledge of inventorysystems, models and principles of forecasting, materials managementand purchasing.
  • Familiar with of allcorresponding repair, warranty, stores, inventory, technical,production and quality interfaces.
  • Familiarwith aircraft systems including maintenance philosophies,practices, policies andprocedures.
