Overview The Health & Safety Officer is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies to ensure a safe working environment in compliance with UAE laws, local authority regulations, and international HSE standards. Responsibilities Implement and monitor company Health & Safety policies, procedures, and programs. Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations, Civil Defense requirements, and local authority standards. Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits. Identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Ensure proper use of PPE and enforce safety rules across the site. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports and corrective action plans. Conduct HSE induction, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions. Maintain HSE records, permits, incident logs, and safety documentation. Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and HR teams on safety initiatives. Liaise with external authorities, auditors, and emergency services when required. Monitor waste management, chemical handling, and environmental controls. Support emergency preparedness plans, drills, and fire safety procedures. Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement in HSE performance. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field. NEBOSH IGC (mandatory or highly preferred in UAE). Additional certifications such as IOSH, OSHA, or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor are an advantage. Knowledge of UAE Labor Law, Civil Defense, and local municipality HSE regulations. Experience 2–5 years of experience as an HSE Officer in the UAE. Experience in manufacturing, construction, logistics, or industrial environments preferred. Familiarity with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 standards. #J-18808-Ljbffr
