Senior Sustainability Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Sustainability Engineer with a strong background in electrical maintenance for buildings. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sustainability practices, energy efficiency, and compliance with relevant environmental and regulatory standards. This role requires expertise in both low-voltage (LV) and high-voltage (HV) electrical systems, along with the ability to optimize electrical systems for sustainability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Review & Compliance
- Conduct constructability reviews during design stages.
- Evaluate design consultant submittals, change requests, and variations.
- Ensure designs comply with sustainability standards and energy efficiency guidelines.
- Review tender documents for completeness before issuance.
- Project Oversight & Quality Control
- Review contractor- and consultant-proposed designs, organizations, and key personnel.
- Coordinate with document controllers and QA/QC engineers to ensure proper documentation control.
- Monitor project quality, safety, and progress, ensuring compliance with sustainability objectives.
- Recommend alternatives to improve quality, energy efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Sustainability & Energy Efficiency Initiatives
- Identify and implement energy-saving measures in electrical systems.
- Monitor energy performance and optimize electrical maintenance practices.
- Ensure compliance with green building standards and environmental regulations.
- Contractor & Maintenance Oversight
- Evaluate contractor compliance with contractual obligations.
- Review maintenance staff performance and adherence to agreements.
- Assess technical/test reports from maintenance teams and sub-contractors.
- Stakeholder Coordination & Reporting
- Attend and contribute to progress and executive meetings.
- Coordinate with government authorities for sustainability-related approvals.
- Ensure accurate financial and budgetary controls are implemented and maintained.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Degree in Electrical Engineering, or Sustainability Engineering.
- Certifications: Recognized electrical engineering certification with sustainability credentials preferred.
- Experience: Extensive experience in electrical maintenance, sustainability, and energy efficiency practices.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of LV and HV systems, electrical system optimization, and green building technologies.
