- Provides direct, professionalnursing care to a specified population of patients in an inpatientor an outpatient setting according to area ofspecialty.
- Prepares equipment and assistsphysicians during examinations andtreatments.
- Performs evaluation of new andexisting patients to determine priority and suitability oftreatment and/or need formodifications.
- Administers prescribedmedications, applies sterile dressings, performs phlebotomy, andmonitors vital signs.
- Maintains confidentialityof patient records.
- Work with medical devicesand apparatus with safe and ideal way related to each area ofspecialty, manage the alarms, detect any earlyharm.
- perform specialized nursing proceduresrelated to the unique needs of a particular patientpopulation.
- Oversee and guide the work of othernursing and support staff.
- Performsmiscellaneous job-related duties asassigned.
- Supervise, coordinate, and providedirect nursing care to patients.
- Ensure thatpatients receive quality, compassionate, and ethicalcare.
- Provide patient and family education,counseling, and support.
- Ensure adherence tostandards of care, policies, andprocedures.
- Performs nursing duties inaccordance with facility policies and procedures, and the rules andregulations of the State Board of Nursing and hospitalpolicies.
- Provides direct patient care,ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff; assesses andtreats patient conditions in collaboration with physicians andother members of the health care team.
- Performsprocedures, such as injections andcatheterizations.
- Assists with the managementof vascular access devices.
- Evaluates patientscompliance to treatment plans and evaluates and reports testresults.
- Performs health promotion activitiesto prevent illness and maintainhealth.
- Performs nursing support duties, suchas assisting with treatments and procedures, in addition to otherrelated duties as assigned.
- Work with differentmedical devices and medical apparatus related to each area ofspecialty and identify possible related riskalarms.
