Responsibilities:

Tech Leadership

  • Overseeing engineering , tech operations, and infrastructure - Manage AstroLabs' technology infrastructure, ensuring it is reliable, scalable, and secure.

  • Developing and implement a strategic technology roadmap - Collaborate with the CSO and senior management to define the technical roadmap and prioritize initiatives based on business objectives.

  • Enabling our Product Roadmap - Close collaboration with the product team and enabling the delivery / execution of the product roadmap.

  • Ensuring the successful delivery of key projects - aligned with business goals.

  • Managing the technology budget - optimizing spending while ensuring the necessary resources are allocated for strategic projects.

  • Elevating our tech capabilities - as part of our management team and helping us become a tech-driven company.

  • Acting as a liaison between the technology team and other departments - as well as communicating technology strategies and initiatives to the board.

  • Closely collaborating with the Data team - to ensure the availability of real-time data for business decisions.

Engineering

  • Leading software development - Overseeing the development, deployment, and maintenance of software solutions that drive business efficiency and enhance customer experience.

  • Ensure code quality and best practices - Implementing coding standards and best practices to ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.

  • Fostering innovation - Encouraging and leading the team in exploring new technologies and methodologies to improve product offerings.

  • Collaborating on product development - Working closely with product teams to align engineering efforts with business needs and customer requirements.

  • Managing engineering projects - Planning, executing, and overseeing engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

Tech Operations

  • Overseeing IT operations - Ensuring the smooth operation of all IT systems, including hardware, software, and networks.

  • Implementing IT service management - Developing and enforcing IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure efficient and secure IT operations.

  • Monitoring system performance - Continuously monitoring and optimizing the performance, reliability, and security of IT systems.

  • Managing technical support - Leading the technical support team to provide timely and effective assistance to internal and external users.

  • Ensuring disaster recovery - Developing and maintaining disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of a system failure.

Infrastructure

  • Developing infrastructure strategy - Creating and implementing a strategy for the company's IT infrastructure that supports business objectives and growth.

  • Managing infrastructure projects - Overseeing the planning, deployment, and maintenance of infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet performance and security standards.

  • Ensuring scalability and reliability - Designing and maintaining a scalable and reliable infrastructure to support business operations and growth.

  • Optimizing resource utilization - Monitoring and optimizing the utilization of IT resources to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

  • Maintaining infrastructure security - Implementing security measures to protect the infrastructure from threats and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Your Key Qualifications

  • 10 years + in senior technology-focused roles, with a proven track record of developing and executing technology strategies that drive business growth.

  • Track record of building and deploying B2B solutions.

  • Strong skills in building and managing high-performing tech teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Proven success in managing technological infrastructure and ensuring robust data and IT security.

  • Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand their technology needs and provide appropriate solutions.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in guiding internal and external communications.

  • Proficiency in compliance and regulatory standards related to technology operations.
