  • Supports the Legal Counsel indrafting, reviewing, interpreting and amending legal opinions,agreements, letters, memos, submissions and any other relevantdocuments related to the business, projects or transactions of theADNOC L&S Legal Directorate.
  • Assists inreview of claims in connection with the ADNOC L&S LegalDirectorate’s business activities including throughinterpretation and advice on performance of signed contracts andprevailing legislation.
  • Assists the LegalCounsel in oversight of the legal functions of the ADNOCL&S Legal Directorate group companies, particularly indevelopment and implementation of common legal practices and jointstrategies.
  • Assists in providing functionalguidance, as required, to assigned personnel within the LegalDivision on complex issues. Supports and encouragement to lesserexperience legal personnel. Includes identifying training anddevelopment needs and organizing, in coordination with Training& Development Division in Human Capital Directorate,courses, seminars and orientation programs for legal and laystaff.
  • Attends internal ADNOC L&Scommittees, as and when required, to assist the activities of theADNOC L&S Legal Directorate and to advice on legal risks,including conformity with laws andregulations.
  • Supports the development of juniorEmirati lawyers and coordinates with other Departments andFunctions on development and implementation of training anddevelopment initiatives.
  • Manages external legalcounsel services related to the corporate and commercial legalaffairs of the ADNOC L&S Legal Directorate, includingreview of external legal counsel work product, preparation ofrequest for proposals and instructing external legalcounsel.
  • Coordinates with Group CorporateGovernance Department on corporate governance matters related toADNOC L&S Legal Directorate groupcompanies.
  • Coordinates with Group Ethics& Compliance Department on compliance matters related tothe ADNOC L&S Legal Directorate and ADNOC L&S LegalDirectorate group companies.

MinimumRequirements

  • Bachelor Degree inLaw
  • Fluent reading and writtenArabic.
  • Minimum 2 years’ ProfessionalQualification experience in petroleum and/or industrial projectslaw or contracts drafting, interpretation and negotiation orinternational business laws isrecommended.
