Description

Our client is seeking a skilled Back End Developer to join their tech recruitment platform team in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the server-side logic, databases, and APIs that power their web applications. You will collaborate with front-end developers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of their platform.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Server-Side Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust server-side applications using languages such as Python, Java, or PHP.
  2. Database Management: Create and manage databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) to ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and security.
  3. API Development: Develop and integrate RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between the front end and back end of applications.
  4. Performance Optimization: Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations to enhance speed and reliability.
  5. Collaboration: Work closely with front-end developers to ensure that the application meets user requirements and functions seamlessly.
  6. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of code, architecture, and processes for future reference.
  7. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance back-end development practices.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  2. 3+ years of experience in back-end development with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
  3. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or PHP.
  4. Experience with database management systems like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  5. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
  2. Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure) for deploying applications.
  3. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
