Job Summary:

Our Client is seeking an experienced and strategic Assistant Treasury Manager to oversee and manage the treasury operations for a diversified group of companies operating in the perfumes, plastic manufacturing, and printing sectors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing cash flow, managing banking relationships, and ensuring liquidity across all business units while minimizing financial risks.

Key Responsibilities:

Cash Flow Management:

  • Monitor daily cash position across group companies.
  • Forecast short and long-term cash requirements and ensure optimal liquidity.
  • Identify and manage intercompany cash flows.

Banking & Financial Relationships:

  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with banks and financial institutions.
  • Negotiate credit facilities, overdrafts, and other banking products.
  • Ensure compliance with banking covenants and regulatory requirements.

Treasury Operations:

  • Manage payment cycles, including vendor payments, payroll, and statutory dues.
  • Oversee treasury accounting and reconciliation of bank accounts.
  • Implement and maintain treasury policies and internal controls.

Investment & Risk Management:

  • Evaluate investment opportunities for surplus funds.
  • Manage foreign exchange risk, interest rate risk, and other financial exposures.
  • Support hedging strategies where required.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare treasury reports for management, including cash flow statements, liquidity analysis, and fund utilization.
  • Provide insights into working capital performance and funding gaps.

Process Improvement:

  • Lead automation and digitization initiatives within the treasury function.
  • Recommend best practices and process enhancements for better efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Professional qualification like CFA, CA, or ACCA is a plus.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in treasury or corporate finance roles, preferably in a group or diversified business environment.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of treasury systems, cash management, and banking products.
  • Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Familiarity with working capital optimization in manufacturing and trading businesses.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and ERP systems.
