Job Purpose: JOB PURPOSE

Contribute to the provision of a safeworking environment within the Emirates Group by providingtechnical and administrative support to specific safety disciplineswithin the department. This may include safety promotion andtraining activities research and sourcing/collation of informationto assist with administrative support to investigations/activationsto aid improvements in safety standards and to minimise thelikelihood of recurrent accidents.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIESLINKED TO OBJECTIVE AREAS

  • Undertake avariety of special projects as directed based on emergent trendsinvolving internal and external research of best practice on behalfof and within guidelines provided by the SVPGroup Safety ManagerSMS or relevant departmental safety management.

  • Coordinate administrativeservices to streamline the support provided and ensures that theoperational and administration needs of the various teams are met.Create and update presentations and manuals and organisationalsystems for records to meet regulatory and organisationalrequirements.

  • As directedsupport investigation processes by retrieving collating andextracting relevant data from sources (e.g. Coruson) and employeepersonnel records. Ensure that all interim and final reports are inaccordance with internal standards as set out in the Group SafetyProcedures Manual and external regulations such as ICAO Annex 13and that they are disseminated to relevant internal departments andexternal agencies such as UAE General Civil Aviation Authority(GCAA) etc. in an appropriate and timely manner.

  • Maintain and regularlyreview a central database of all safety recommendations made frominvestigation reports and provide the relevant managers withdetails of follow up actions and/or outstanding recommendations.Ensure that the emergent trends and risk matrix accurately reflectsthe status.

  • Coordinate andupdate records in relation to agreed Safety Performance Indicators(SPIs) / Safety Performance Targets (SPTs).

  • Provide support in areassuch as safety debriefs by coordinating the collation of accuratedata and information as required by the Safety Managers/Specialiststo meet any time critical deadlines. Ensure that there is minimaldisruption to operations through liaison between Safety Managersand line management so that the debrief can meets all specifiedrequirements.

  • Coordinatethe preparation of information (from sources such as Coruson)submitted to the corporate database to ensure control and accuracyof data for statistical analysis for safety managers to undertakerisk analysis departmental safety reports which are used assistsenior management make operational decisions.

  • Ensure that the GoTeamis compliant with the regulatory requirements of the State. Thisincludes auditing and updating the Gokit equipment and Goteamrecords such as accident investigation and blood borne pathogentraining records vaccinations passports visas etc.

Organiseand coordinate logistics for safety internal and external eventssuch as Safety Days Emergency Response Planning (ERP) exercisessafety campaigns roadshows training and workshops CommitteeMeetings Safety Action Groups Safety Boards the Management ReviewSafety Committee and other safety related conferences which may berequired to meet regulatory requirements. Ensure necessary materialand documentation is prepared and available that appropriatefacilities such as meeting rooms and accommodation is booked andrequired personnel are available to attend to ensure the eventsruns smoothly.

Coordinatethe procurement and logistics for the design development and globaldistribution of safety promotion and training materials. Organisethe safety promotion and training safety publications and resourcesincluding the stock room online storage and distribution includingliaison with internal and external parties.

Monitor and review industrypublications and internet sources (including from ICAO and AircraftAccident Investigation Bureau) to enable the Emirates Group toremain up to date with changes and best practices relating tosafety. Ensure that relevant information is communicated to therelevant managers for action asappropriate.


Qualifications& Experience: MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

Qualifications:

12 Years schooling or equivalent

Experience :

Medical/Safety.Ground Safety 3 Years

Knowledge/Skills:

Experience in Medical Safety / GroundSafety.

Experience in an administrative rolepreferably in an airline safety department working with safety

applications ERP safety data systems andsupporting safety investigations.

Knowledge/skills:

Knowledgeof safety investigations and investigation reports as required bythe UAE GCAA and ICAO.

Knowledge of Safetyand/or ERP systems such as /Coruson etc.

Knowledge of aviation / ground operations engineering advantageous.

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Report writing and presentationskills.
