Job Description- Sterilization of Medical Equipment : Responsible for the cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of surgical instruments, medical devices, and other equipment according to standard operating procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Inventory Management : Ensure accurate stock control of sterile supplies, including surgical instruments, dressings, and sterile packs, and maintain records of all items processed.
- Inspection and Maintenance of Sterile Equipment : Regularly inspect the sterilizers and other equipment to ensure they are functioning correctly and report any faults or maintenance needs.
- Packaging and Labeling : Properly pack and label medical instruments, ensuring they are ready for use in surgeries or procedures, while adhering to all safety and quality guidelines.
- Adherence to Infection Control Standards : Follow all infection control protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent contamination during the sterilization process.
- Documentation and Record Keeping : Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sterilization cycles, inventory levels, and maintenance logs to ensure compliance with hospital regulations and health standards.
- Collaboration with Healthcare Teams : Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other medical staff to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of sterile instruments and supplies for various medical procedures.
- Minimum of 3 to 4 years of CSSD experience
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
