Job Title:Senior Project Engineer

Key rolesandresponsibilities:

  • Overseeand manage all aspects of the construction projects from inceptionto completion ensuring quality safety and timelydelivery.
  • Oversees establishment of ProjectExecution Plan Health and Safety Plan Quality Assurance/QualityControl Plan and other documents asrequired.
  • Plans directs supervises and controlsthe execution of all business technical fiscal and administrativefunctions of the assigned project.
  • Reviews andchecks plan specifications contracts engineers notes engineeringcomputations involving higher mathematics and cost estimates forprojects of substantial difficulty.
  • Provideeffective onsite leadership and supervision to construction teamssubcontractors and other projectstakeholders.
  • Monitor project budgets costs andexpenditures ensuring adherence to financial guidelines. Works withother engineers and discipline leads to develop budgets schedulesand plans for the various elements of aproject.
  • Implement and enforce quality controlmeasures to ensure construction activities meet industry standardsand project specifications.
  • Develop andmaintain project schedules ensuring that milestones and deadlinesare met. Monitor contractor performance pertaining to schedule andconformance to plans and specifications. Establishes the programrequirements for all areas of the project and monitors the draftand final deliverables for adherence to thesecriteria.
  • Facilitate clear and concisecommunication between project stakeholders including consultantscontractors and internal teams. Responsible for following up oninstructions and commitments associated with theproject.
  • Address and resolve any issues orchallenges that may arise during the construction process ensuringminimal impact on project timelines.
  • Ensurecompliance with local regulations building codes and safetystandards.
  • Ensures that the project meets orexceeds goals established in theseplans.
  • Monitors and reports the progress of allproject activity within the program including significantmilestones and any conditions which would affect project cost orschedule.
  • Performs other responsibilitiesassociated with this position as may beappropriate.
  • Verifies and maintains appropriaterecords and files; prepares comprehensive technical reports relatedto assignment.
  • Attends various meeting asrepresentative of the EngineeringDepartment.
  • Inspect and evaluates ongoingprojects to ensure compliance with plans and specifications;conducts surveys and/or assists survey personnel in obtaining fielddata and conducts a variety of tests for compliancepurposes
  • Responsible for the confidentialitysecurity and safekeeping of the properties anddocuments

ExperienceandQualification:

  • Bachelorsdegree in Civil Engineering or construction related technicalfield
  • 5 years of related construction phaseexperience is required
  • Incumbent should have abroad general technical and business background related variousconstruction projects such as buildings infrastructure interiorsstructural repair works.
  • Professionalregistration may also be required.
  • Capabilityin preparing drawings using Auto CAD scheduling using Primavera P6and ongoing monitoring and driving of projects with wellordered andlogical sequence;
  • Comprehensive knowledge ofindustry standards. Proven ability to perform in a managementcapacity excellent written and oralcommunications.
  • Strong eye for detail coupledwith a methodical and organizedapproach;
  • Exceptional verbal and writtencommunication skills will be well utilised and your ability todevelop internal and external working relationships isessential.
