Functional
Deploy company fire life and safety programs to obtain and maintainrelated certifications and meet national and international rulesand regulations
Conduct annual fire safety review of alloperational buildings to ensure adherence to Airport Fire SafetyStrategy
to approved architecture for Fire and SafetyStrategy
Ensure adherence to UAE Civil Defense NFPA AbuDhabi EHSMS GCAA and Municipality regulations for Fire and Safetyin Building
Seek building certification based onbuilding classification by UAE Fire Code Council
ConductCivil defense hazard evaluation by providing requisite details tothe authorities
Supervise coordinate and participate ininspections during building construction to overseeadherence
Address building modification request bydepartment/tenants and evaluate its alignment with Fire Life andSafety strategy
Support in developing the fire life andsafety intervention and evacuation procedures for all buildingacross company s and its subsidiaries including airports
Provision for the fire life and safety architecture design forbuildings across AD AIRPORTS and its subsidiaries in coordinationwith the design and engineering department
Provide forfire protection including fire exits fire detection and warningsystem firefighting equipment emergency evacuation planetc.
Support design installation maintenance andmanagement of fire stop system to achieve required fireresistancerated construction
Inspect fire stop assemblies andreport damage alteration system breach etc. for quick repair andrestoration
Conduct regular inspection of hydrants andequipment at company s properties to ensure they are fullyfunctional /operational for any emergency situation that mayarise
Perform any other duties as requested by thereporting manager

Provideinputs in the periodic audit of the established policies andprocedures

Participate in performance appraisals and reflecton the feedback and recommendations provided by the line managerfordevelopment



Requirements

QUALIFICATION/ EDUCATION
Bachelor Degree in Fire Safety Engineering /Fire Science or similar discipline.

EXPERIENCE


5 plus in fire engineering practice with the projects or similarfire safety engineering activities.
5 years experiencewith installation testing commissioning handover and maintenance offire systems.
Essentialknowledge of UAE Civil Defence fire code and respective NFPAstandards.
Essential to have strong communication reportwriting and interpersonal skills.
Strong computer skillsto use tablets auditing software MS Office and AutoCAD
Knowledge of emergencymanagement

  • Preferable
    Fire engineering working experience within the GCC orUAE (preferable)
    Airport fire & life safetyworking experience
    Emergency Managementexperience
  • Equivalency certified candidatepreferred.
    CERTIFICATIONSKNOWLEDGE &SKILLS (PREFERABLE)
    NEBOSH Fire & Safety RiskManagement
    NFPA / IFE / IFSM Membership andaffiliation.
