JobDescription

  • Liaising with the ActivitiesCoordinator to determine bookings and any special requirements forguests and visitors.
  • Greeting visitors andguests as they arrive at the resort and providing a basic resortbriefing.
  • Ensuring factual knowledge isimparted to visitors and guests regarding the history and futuredevelopment of the resort; its animals, plants and trees, birdlife, archeological heritage and (if applicable) marinelife.
  • Maintaining at all times the culturalsensitivity of various nationalities.
  • Guidingand delivering tourism activities incorporating (but not limitedto) archery, biking, Desert drive, camel ride, desert walk, falconshow, city and cultural tours, wild life drives, water activitiesand all other related tourism activities as directed by theactivities department or hotelmanagement
  • Safely using all equipment, vehiclesand consumables related to the delivery of tourism activities, andthe maintenance of such equipment.
  • Maintain thelevel or maintenance and cleanliness of the equipment andactivities sites.
  • Support with the refreshmentpackages with the proper furniture and set up as per eachactivity.
  • Ensuring that visitors are safe andthat hazards or potential hazards are mitigated and reported tomanagement.
  • Ensuring that safety requirementsare adhered to by visitors, including the supply and correct use ofall personal protective equipment for both themselves and guestsappropriate to the activity being undertaken, including thecompletion of all related safety briefings and indemnity relatedpaperwork.
  • Maintaining a high level of physicalfitness commensurate with the tourism activities beingdelivered.
  • Maintaining a level of customerservice skills and behavior commensurate with a 5*resort.
  • Escorting VIPs, familiarization groupsand media and in doing so be an ambassador for the resort andAnantara. In the case of media visits, these will be conducted inconjunction with the Marketing/PRDepartment.
  • Gathering statistical informationfrom guests & visitors in relation to the quality of theirexperience and providing feedback to management in relation toguest requests and/or suggestions.
  • Any otherduties associated with the position in order to meet the needs ofthe business.

Qualifications

  • High Schooldiploma
  • Previous experience in same positionfor at least 1 year.
  • Dune Bashing Experience isa must
  • Luxury hotel experience is amust
  • Passion for excellentservice
  • Excellent team player and greatcommunication skills
