We are in search of anexperienced oncologist who will rise to our high standards ofcancer care and ground breaking research. Our ideal candidate iscompassionate, listening to each patient’s concerns,preferences, and needs in order to help them achieve the bestoutcome. This requires a keen understanding of the latesttechniques in diagnosis, surgery, chemotherapy, and radiationtherapy, as well as newer techniques such as interventionalradiology and immunotherapy. Above all, you should have a passionfor meeting the needs of patients and their families at every phaseof their cancerjourney.

 


Responsibilities:

 

  • Collaboratewith a multidisciplinary team to accurately assess patient needsand develop a treatment plan that meets thoseneeds
  • Participate as a key member of thepatient care team to formulate treatment plans and monitor patientprogress
  • Utilize and promote approved standardsof care, procedures, methods, techniques, safety precautions, andstudy protocols
  • Participate in the development,review, and evaluation of standard operating procedures andstudy-specific procedures
  • Mentor junior doctorsand medical students, perform auditing and research, and attendconferences and committee meetings asnecessary
  • Order several diagnostic tests, whichincludes biopsy, imaging procedures, and blood tests, to confirm aspecific diagnosis
  • Provide patients withdetailed information regarding cancer, the prognosis of thedisease, and possible interventions or treatment options they maychoose to undergo
  • Develop appropriate treatmentplans, complete with measurable goals, that provides the highestlevel of care while considering and respecting patientpreference
  • Maintain patients’ qualityof life by managing cancer-related pain and other symptoms and sideeffects of treatment
  • Reassess progress of thedisease as treatment progresses and pursue alternative therapies asneeded, as well as palliative care whenappropriate
  • Participate in training sessionsand correspondence for respective study protocols and clinicaltrials, ensuring confidentiality ismaintained

 

Requirements:

 

  • MDor MD/PhD with medical training specifically inoncology
  • Board certification in oncology withstate license in good standing
  • Ability tointerpret clinical, genomic, and efficacydata
  • Motivated to work in a fast-pacedenvironment
  • Experience in research and/orclinical protocols
  • The ability to effectivelycommunicate with patients, caregivers, and fellow medicalprofessionals
