QAQC Lead

Responsibilities
• Attendreadiness reviews / kick off meeting / pre-inspection meetingsprior to commencement of the works at site including atsub-suppliers’ facilities asrequired.
• Participate in the Project Qualitymanagement meetings and other HVDC Package management meetings asrequired, to provide technical/fabrication qualitysupport.
• Attend the various site progressmeetings at defined frequencies and ensure quality topics are partof the agenda and discussed appropriately. Highlight any concernsfor immediate actions.
• Regular liaison withthe site based independent verification & certificationbody representative appointed by the Employer on verificationactivities – asset anddocumentation.
• Provide support to the ProjectQuality Manager and the site team on the performance of defined andad-hoc audits as well as quality gate reviews.
•Provide support to the site team on technical deviations, sitequeries and change requests etc. as required.
•Support in the review of quality documentation prior tocommencement of fabrication – Quality Plan, ITPs,fabrication procedures, NDT, and coating proceduresetc.
• Perform inspections and surveillance ofmaterials/components and Works at Fabricator and subcontractorsites, including welding/NDT/coating activities as per acceptedITPs.
• Observe that tests, inspections, andexaminations are performed in accordance with accepted ITPs,approved work procedures, specifications/standardsetc.
• Observe the verification of thecalibration status of all measuring/test equipment and the controlof materials including consumables used for the fabrication of theasset and the appropriate records maintained.
•Participate in joint walk-downs, final inspections and punch/snagitems identification utilising pre-defined checklists at definedstages of the Works and as required.
• Reviewthe material and fabrication records progressively and highlightany issues for immediate attention and correction by thecontractor.
• Report any qualityevents/non-conformity to the Contractor for immediate actions andnotify VF site team as well as the Project Quality Manager andPackage team including relevant expert functions e.g SiteManagement, Material Technology and Corrosion Protection department(MaTCoP). Close collaboration with the Contractor and other VF teamin progressing nonconformity to satisfactoryclosure.
• Support the review of the FinalAs-Built documentation submitted by theContractors.
• Participate in the mechanicalcompletions processes and commissioning Works.
•Promote a collaborative working environment with the IVB, thecontractor and their subcontractors and discuss all quality mattersthroughout the Contract.
• Provide regularprogress reporting on agreed template to the Project QualityManager and all relevant expert functions e.g Site Management,Material Technology and Corrosion Protection department (MaTCoP),etc on all fabrication quality matters.
• Recordand present Lessons Learned to the entire Package team at definedstages of the works.
• Monitor and evaluate theFabricator’s dimensional control.
•Monitor the progress of the Fabricator against the expectedprogress and report to Employer.
• Advise theEmployer in the signing of provisional acceptances (ifany).

QualificationRequirements
• Proven technical fabricationexperience in welding/NDT/Coating including associatedprocesses.
• Experience working to NORSOK/DNVand applicable standards for OSS structures.
•Quality auditing experience and qualification.
•Ability to work to high degree of autonomy, within a team,effectively and efficiently.
• Strong leadershipskill and ability to influence positively at various levels of theorganisation.
• Fluent in English –written and verbal with strong interpersonalskill.
• Proven experience working withfabrication drawings.Welding Inspector CSWIP orequivalent.
• Coating InspectionCSWIP/FROSIO/NACE or equivalent.
• NDT (UT, MPI,DPI, Radiograph etc.) – PCN or equivalent.
