  • Usedifferent types of tools or equipment, like power constructionequipment, measuring devices,
  • power tools, andtesting equipment, like oscilloscopes, ammeters, or checklamps.
  • Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofsto put in, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, orfixtures.
  • Diagnose faulty systems, apparatus,or parts, using equipment and hand tools to find the reason for abreakdown and correct the problem.
  • Direct ortrain other employees to put in, maintain, or repair electricalwiring, equipment, or fixtures.
  • Providepreliminary sketches or value estimates for materials orservices.
  • Provide help in times of emergenciesby operating floodlights or generators, inserting flares, ordriving required vehicles.
  • Work on installation,maintenance, repair, and replacement of marine electrical(AC/DC)and electronic systems on board.
  • Otherresponsibilities as assigned by the TechnicalSuperintendent/Technical Manager.

MinimumQualifications

  • Diploma holder with 2 to 3 yearsrelevant experience or completed schooling with relevant experienceof more than 6 to 7 years.
  • Strong workingknowledge of major brand marine electrical and electronics system;installation, maintenance, repair,replacement.
