Maintenance Conrtoller

The Maintenance Controller is a key member of the POCC team for passenger train services, creating the critical link between the operations and maintenance team. The Maintenance Controller is responsible for ensuring the recording, reporting, and resolving ALL safety & service critical faults/failures of the ER Mobility assets, including passenger trains and stations.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Monitor, analyze, and report ER Mobility assets' faults/failures and coordinate maintenance responses.
2. Create work orders of the reported faults and failures and route the created work orders to the respective maintenance teams.
3. Mobilize the respective maintenance teams to ensure an on-time and appropriate response to all safety and service-affecting faults/failures.
4. Provide technical support and fault management coordination.
5. Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure the timely availability of assets' fitness (trains and stations), including any associated restriction, to POCC and other relevant stakeholders.
6. Communicate operations requirements and changes, if any, to maintenance teams.
7. Prepare fault reporting and failure statistics.
8. Produce detailed reports at a frequency and content directed by the supervisor.
9. Support the training and development of new staff.
10. Perform shift and emergency duties as and when required.
11. Implement safety improvement initiatives and participate in safety initiatives.
12. Identify areas for process enhancement, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
13. Implement best practices to optimize the ER Mobility assets' performance.

Desirable Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

Academic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering (mechanical, electrical, electronic, or similar).

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of engineering and maintenance experience within the railway industry.

• Strong knowledge of railway operations, maintenance practices, safety regulations, and industry standards.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of asset management principles is a plus.
