OVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION: Perform a variousduties ensuring orderly and timely completion of work ordersreceived from internal guests, Duty Engineer, Engineering Managerand Director of Engineering. Perform a various work order involvedin maintaining preventive maintenance. RESPONSIBILITIES: •Be responsible for GMK2 master keys when on Duty. • Usecommunication device at all time while on duty. • Checkwith duty engineer for the priority job. • Check the logbook for follow up jobs. • Assign the maintenance requestin Communication device. • If the maintenance will takelonger time to complete, immediately communicate with Dutyengineer. • Ensure close the maintenance request inCommunication device after completing the job.• Respondpromptly to Knowcross service orders made for problems, assistance,or emergency work orders. • Follow hotel policy andprocedure while entering guest rooms for repairing. • Asper duty roster, reading to be taken and properly log down.• Ensure tag and lockout procedures are followed whenworking on electrically powered equipment.• Alwaysmaintain safety procedures/conditions in working area and otherassociated areas. • Engineer I has to perform as a leaderrole according to the duty roster in monthly basis. •Understand and practice hotel emergency fire precaution procedures.• Ensure all necessary spare parts and materials are inorder properly and received properly. • Always keeppremises clean and tidy after completing your job. •Follow the PPM program assigned area. • Communicate withduty engineer of daily work progress before ending the shift.• Ensure log down in to the log book before leaving thehotel. • Ensure team work to achieve Engineer goal.• Successfully complete training certification process andreview all departmental safety information (JSA and MSDS). Practiceemergency procedures in compliance with hotel company standards.Reacts and assist hotel emergency situation as needed. •Before end of shift, check with co- workers to see if they needadditional assistance. • Ensure domestic pumps and firepumps are working properly as per Duty Roaster. • Ensureall the domestic water tank levels are in proper level as per DutyRoaster. • Ensure proper maintenance of boiler as pertrade & Duty Roaster. • Ensure weekly tests onfire pumps are conducted properly.• Inform Duty engineerof daily work progress.• Consistently sets high standardsof quality. Team members demonstrate, commitment to provide qualityservice, establishes and monitors procedures designed to measurequality, and recommends improvements based on experience andfeedback obtained. QUALIFICATIONS: • Experience: Minimum 3years’ experience as an Engineer at a 5 star hotel.• Education: High school diploma; professional tradecertification preferred. • General Skills: Must be able toperform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy;prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remainingcalm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directionsthoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; workcohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimalsupervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information andpertinent hotel data.• Technical Skills: Proficiency withone specific Trade as per Education qualification. •Language: Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency.• Physical Requirements: Must be able to exert physicaleffort in transporting materials, endure various physical movementsthroughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary attimes throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate withguests and co-workers to theirunderstanding.
